In this photographic series, Manipulation, I explore the negative repercussions of a toxic relationship. Displayed as a narrative series of twelve staged images, the color red, closely unifies the photographs, both visually and conceptually. This study features three different models depicting one woman, closely focusing on her body language to express a sense of vulnerability and fragility. Creating this series served as a coping method for me as I watched my close friend slowly become a victim of false love and continual lies. My intention is to heavily warn the viewer of these consequences, in hopes they will avoid emotional devastation and flee from their manipulative captor.
